Demolition Dad by Phil Earle

This book is all about a Dad who works in demolition but secretly at weekends he’s a wrestler. His son Jake Biggs gets bullied at school because his dad is fat but, in the end, is it good that he is so fat?....

This book is all about empathy. The illustrations are great and they really add to the story. There are happy and sad parts, but mostly funny moments. When you start reading you can not put it down. There are real life situations in it.

I would recommend this book to any one who is into: Hamish and the Worldstoppers or Stinkbomb and Ketchup-Face. The age group it aims at is 8-12. Enjoy!
